Macron Calls for Return to Negotiations on Two-state Solution in Middle East

French President Emmanuel Macron has called for renewal of Middle East peace talks so that Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in two states with secure borders with Jerusalem as the capital. Macron’s comments came Sunday during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Paris to mark the 75th anniversary of the deportation of Jews from France to Nazi concentration camps during World War Two.
