It’s a statistic that is hard to grasp: According to the U.N. nearly 5,000 people are being forced from their homes every day in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The internal displacement is mainly the result of a conflict between tribal groups and government troops in the Central Kasai region. The situation has left millions without access to food and water.
